Can we just take a moment to imagine Kurt singing this to Blaine?
Like, they’re in the auditorium after graduation and Kurt has tears in his eyes and he’s pouring his heart out with this song. Because even thought he doesn’t want to, he has to say goodbye.
And after Kurt’s done Blaine is crying too because the boy he loves, the boy he trusts so much he even gave his first time to, the boy he changed his safe school for because he couldn’t be away from the person he loves… Is going away and now all of those memories they shared seem so far away and at the same time so close and it hurts so much to let go but he knows he has to because it’s Kurt’s dream to be on Broadway.
Kurt hops off the stage and hugs Blaine like his life depends on it and whispers “When I said I’m never saying goodbye to you I meant that” and Blaine just nods because he is too overwhelmed to even articulate words so he just hugs back with the same force Kurt is doing so.
After a few minutes, they realized at some point they ended on the floor and they just laugh until Blaine grabs Kurt head from his sides and kisses him hard and Kurt kisses back with the same force and they’re crying again because they don’t want to let go. And when the air is necessary they rest their foreheads together whispering “I love you so much” to each other.
